The project was born out of the client’s desires to modernize and expand their facilities to keep up with increasing demands. They appointed Harjaguna as the Design-Build Contractor to carry out this project.

By employing the design-build method, the client was able to achieve their goals, which were cost savings and faster delivery, without compromising the quality.  The total work area is approximately 12,000 m², and it includes the refurbishment of the 5,000-square-metre Tannery Plant, renovations to the existing drying tunnel and 2,500-square-metre warehouse, and construction of several new facilities such as a new office building, a utility building, a new raw hide shelter, a reject material shelter, a reblading facility, and a rawhide unloading building.

The plant remained in operation during construction and the Harjaguna team managed to minimize disruptions to the plant’s day-to-day activities.
